How much lumber for a 1700sq ft house?
I am building a house and need to know the amount of lumber needed. It is a basic square home with an upstairs, at 30ft x 28 ft. I need the amount of lumber for the walls, ceiling and the floors. Just to complete the frame and box in the house, what would I need?

Take your plans to a real lumber yard. They have estimators who will do a lumber takeoff and give you a bid on the lumber package.
