    it’s a good idea to allow the wood time to dry out a little…. 45 days is a usual suggestion…… see, the chemicals that are the preservatives are forced into the wood under pressure…. when the pressure is removed, the volatiles in the chemicals need to ‘evaporate’ out of the wood ….. that’s the ‘drying’ process….. and it does take a while… now, summer, is the perfect time, tho…. all of what’s left of July and August and then stain in Sept….
