Here is a hyperlink to a site I think you might find helpful. Good luck. I really think that it should be doable. I would think 4 wheels would be better than 2……perhaps a sling in the middle that the cat would lay on…….anyway, talk with the people at this link ……… http://www.handicappedpets.com/Articles/catcart.html
i wouldnt know but you should look it up
i had a cat that dragged it’s back legs and i gave it milk and other dairy for calcium, might be worth a try
You can do it! The first thing you have to consider is how small the wheels ought to be. It is very important to measure correctly to avoid back strain. If you are unsure aim lower. It should attach to the middle of the cat’s belly towards the back and have four wheels. Two wheels requires too much energy for an older cat.
Good Luck!!
I have had ferrets with back leg problems and once had a helpful suggestion. You can use a pair of panty hose like a sling to hold up the abdomen/back legs while the pet uses their front legs. Thought this might be helpful while you build the wheel chair. You might also do a Yahoo or Google search for ‘pet wheelchair’ to find some to look at.
Best of luck!
