My Husband just started a new job installing cable , we are trying to figure out what tools we can use to barry cable . The cable must be barried 6 inches and using a shovel takes up too much time . Any ideas ????????

a walk behind cable trencher works the best…

i use a hoe
lif it’s a simple tool needed for the job w/out much expense, place a flat, strong trenching shovel on side and dig a line from point to point. when placing the flat shovel in the ground and with reasonable dirt, wiggle the shovel back and forth to open the ground and inch, then stuff the burial cable in and tuck with flat forming stake. …otherwise, a trencher is the way to go @ 2-3 ft per minute.
no magic here
What does "barry/barried" mean? I’m not familiar with those terms.
a small pic axe is great for big jobs. For small jobs I use a large screwdriver (which drives my journeyman nuts) A garden trowel works well, also
