Is my recording gear good enough? I would like to know if my gear will put out decent sound.?

        I have:
        Neumann TLM 102
Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini (I know it's terrible)
        Pro Tools 6
I have a very nice PC, so I know that doesn't need to change.
Blue Sky Sky System One SAT 6.5 MK II Satellite 2.1 Studio Monitor (2)

        I'm planning on buying:
Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 Firewire Interface

What else do I need? I have all of the accessories I need, mic stands, drum mics, monster cables, etc. I just can't get the sound I want out of my recordings and I'm hoping the Saffire Pro will help. With my current gear, I keep getting the annoying buzzing noise in the back of EVERY recording, and have found way to minimize it but I just can't get rid of it. I think it's my pre-amp but I'm not sure. help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I prevent and outdoor bench from sinking into the ground?

I'm building a few sitting benches for my eagle project. They will be placed in a nature preserve but I can't seem to find a way of preventing the benches from sinking. Keep in mind that the people at the preserve plan on moving the benches around even after I am finished with the project. The terrain of the preserve is mostly grass, mud and some mulch trails. To give you a better idea, the preserve is about an hour northwest of Chicago. Any ideas?
