Is there any other workout I can use besides laying on my back and using the dumbbells like I would a bench press to build pecs and chest muscles? Thanks so much for any help! I will choose best answer.

I've been working out at home for about 4 months now, and my deltoids and chest muscles seem to be really behind. I've got huge improvement in shoulders, biceps, triceps and abs, but this just exaggerates my small chest and deltoids.
When I bench press I use a slightly wider than shoulder width grip, keep my elbows tucked in, and knees at right angles - just like the advice on the internet suggests.
Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to include some extra exercises? Any bench press advice in general?
Thanks in advance
First of all i would just like to state that i am not one of those people who barely goes to the gym and the only thing that they think that can measure strength is a bench press. I go to the 5-6 days a week for about two hours a day so i am no stranger to the gym.
I was just wondering some tips and pointers on how to build my bench up quickly becuase it is a workout that i want to buildup.
I was just looking for some adivise on how to get my max weight up higher, and be more smooth with my reps.
Thanks in advance.
What is another way to build chest muscle when I'm not at the gym doing bench press for a while? Push-ups?
Okay, I am a smaller guy, a freshman in high school. You aren't allowed to take weightlifting as a freshman, but it turns out you lift weights during a normal gym period. I know it would be impossible to become the best lifter in my class. I just want some tips/workouts to start working on for a month or so before I start gym. Exercises for bench press, and squats please...
