how to remove built in bench without breaking the wall its attached to?

ok so my bedroom is in the attic,& on one of the 4 main walls i have a little bench made of drywall or something. The problem is , unlike most built in benches that are kind of in the wall & take up no space. this one is more of a desk, it sticks out into the room (takes up too much space) . & i want to put my bed against that wall but because of that bench its almost impossible because the bed wouldnt touch the wall ( sorry for rambling, im just trying to get you to understand what im saying).

Anyways, the question is, how do i remove that little bench ?Will there be a huge whole in my wall if i do ? or can I just hit it with ahammer etc etc & remove it with no problems ? Helllllp

Math question help one more time. How do i set this up?

Steven builds benches in his spare time. Good quality plywood costs 4.50 per square foot. There is approximately a 15 percent waste of material due to cutting and fitting. He also figures 200 dollars per month for finishing material, glue, tools etc. If he charges 10.00 per square food of finished product, how many square feet of plywood did he buy originally if his profit is 120.00 in one month?

Building a bench as part of an Eagle Project?

okay, well I am a life scout and I have found a place that would like me to build at least 2 (maybe 4) benches for a locker room for my eagle project. I have not gotten any approvals yet. My current plan is taken from http://handymanwire.com/articles/benchplans.html *(please note that I am doing this bench but cutting in half(excluding the 3 1/2" section and using 4 legs per bench .) So I will need about the same lumber (more 2x6 and 4x4 for the legs and bottom) Does this seem like it will work? (if you have another plan *especially if it is a cushioned bench please include) And most importantly I'm trying to look for the lumber to do this project. so what lumber will work( this will be inside) and be somewhat economical? (I would love to spend no more than 0 on the lumber for 2 benches) thanks.

Does anyone know of a woodworking catalog?

I'm looking for a woodworking catalog that I used to get a few years back. The last one I remember was recieved by me in 2004. The catalog contained various quality wooden structures, like benches, outdoor showers, and large, detailed playhouses that were priced for a few thousand dollars. I remember that the catalog was based out of Connecticut or another New England locale.

I'd really appreciate any info you have! Thanks!

          Building garden benches…?

I am planning a project for the summer. I want to create a sitting area in my grandma's front yard. I thought it would be nice to build benches for it myself. Do you have any plans or suggestions for a beginner? It doesn't need to be fancy. Thanks.
