I want to learn woodworking, but don't have the tools or space for it. Are there any places I can go in Kansas City (preferably North Kansas City) where I can learn to use tools and build quality wooden stuff (furniture, ect.)?

Anyone know where I can get free (OK I'm cheap) woodworking plans online for making various pieces of furniture?
Thanks.
I can't afford to buy a bed for my 2yo daughter, so I want to make it myself. Plus other furniture for her like a table and chair set.
Just saw a unique combination piece of wooden children's furniture I'd love to make for my granddaughter. Plans?
I have dozens of construction grade 1x6's at the house that I will use in a few beginner furniture-making projects. I bought a table saw, and I am going to trim them down to 1x5 or so before running them through a planer. Should I use the rip blade that came with the table saw, or should I buy a blade with 40 teeth, 60 teeth, or 100 teeth?
