Where is the best place to buy foam for a poker table?

I'm building a remarkably cheap poker table. I have nice felt for it, but I want to glue some foam. I don't mind getting it online. What's the best place to get it at?

Thanks.

best timber joint for a solid coffee table legs?

I am currently building an awesome coffee table,

So for the top I've got 4 pieces of 180mm x 45mm merbau, to join them side by side I machined them into tongue and groove and even put a few dowels on the underside of it, no screws or fixings, just awesome joints and 2 pack epoxy glue.

The legs are exactly the same design with the same overall width.

But, I want the legs to sit about 50mm in from the edge of the table top (as oppose to being flush), I now have the trouble of making a decent joint for it. I dont want any screws or brackets, just an awesome timber joint.

I was thinking of mortising the underside of the top and tenoning the legs to slot into it, that way the joint is seen from the front and back edges, which I quite like, but I had the problem of when the table is lifted it may not hold the weight of the legs (and small shelf under that Im also housing in). I am now thinking of having the mortise and tenons shaped like a 'V' (somewhat like a dovetail join) and slot the leg in from the side. That way the 'V' shape may hold the weight.....

I know its possible, Im asking if anyone knows if this design will be structurally strong? If not, do you have any ideas that may work?

I love timber joints and will be bragging about my coffee table for years to come so all decent answers are much appreciated.

Can anyone answer this word problem or at least give me a hint or a formula to get me started?

James builds tables in his spare time. Good quality plywood costs .50 per square foot. There is approximately a 10% waste of material due to cutting and fitting. He also figures 5 for finishing material, glue, tools etc. If he charges .30 per square foot of finished product, how many square feet of plywood would he use if his profit is 6.14 in one month?

Why does epoxy cost so much?

I work for a yacht builder in the cabinet shop. We use epoxy most of the time when building cabinets, and EVERYthing gets epoxy coated as part of the finishing. I'm pretty new to wood working and I'm starting to do some small projects at home and was looking around for epoxy to buy, and no where in town even carries a good epoxy, and looking online, epoxies like I use at work (west system epoxy and hardeners) are REALLY expensive! What makes it so special it costs SO much? I guess it doesn't take a lot for just gluing joints, but if you want to coat a piece for grain filling, you end up spending more on glue than you do on wood and all the rest of the project!
